ICSI, or Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection, is a method of supporting the fertilization process outside of the body (extracorporeal). An individual sperm is injected into an oocyte via a thin capillary tube. In this way, fertilization can be achieved even if the quality of the sperms is deficient. Except for the sperm injection, ICSI Technique closely resembles IVF. | |
